Fire & smoke resisting dampers
9 December 2020
Fire and smoke resisting dampers are used to prevent fire and smoke from passing from one compartment to another through heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. It is important that such dampers are adequately fire tested and are installed in accordance with the damper manufacturer’s instruction and consider site conditions
This webinar will provide an overview of the advice contained within the ASFP Grey Book: Volume 1: Fire dampers (European standards) E (integrity) & ES (integrity and leakage) classified, 2nd Edition. This provides practical advice for damper manufacturers, system designers and installers advising them to consider appropriate issues at the design stage, to enable them to make the necessary decisions to ensure that dampers will function as intended.
The webinar will be of interest to all involved in the manufacture, specification, commissioning or maintenance of fire and smoke resisting dampers. It will also offer useful guidance to inspection authorities, risk assessors, facilities managers and business owners.
