Last year Hempel’s ever growing intumescent range was strengthened by the introduction of Hempafire Pro 315, optimised for 60 minutes protection against cellulosic fire.
Fully tested up to C4, certified loadings to both BS and EN standards, Hempafire Pro 315 can be used for all steel profile types, including cell beams. It can be applied up to 1,600 microns in one coat, meaning almost all steel sections can be covered in a single coat application. This, in conjunction with extremely competitive loadings, offering potential significant savings in project costs and fast drying times, has made it a very popular choice with applicators since its launch.
Hempel is also pleased to announce that its full range of passive fire protection products will be available to access in the next published revision of both the BS and multi temperature (MTBS) version of Steelcalc, the world’s most comprehensive software package for estimating PFP. This will allow users to comply with the recommendations within ASFP Yellow book 5th edition.
Building on their commitment to passive fire protection, Hempel will very soon launch the latest product in the Hempafire range within Europe – Optima 500.
Hempafire Optima 500 is the new generation waterborne coating, offering 120 minutes of fire protection and delivering greater productivity for large-scale infrastructure projects in particular. It has been well received in the Middle East and Hempel look forward to introducing it into the European, and particularly, the UK market.
