IFC Group continues to expand operations and support the fire safety industry during this time of uncertainty and change. With new additions to the senior engineering team and an expanding network of offices, providing ever greater national coverage, IFC Group is well placed to drive and support the national framework of improvements to fire safety.

Support of the specialist areas of Certification, Fire Engineering and EWS are key to these national improvements and our recruitment of key personnel in these areas is proof of our commitment. Stephen Howard is one such appointment, who joins IFC Group as a Principal Engineer, after spending 25 years as Director at BRE overseeing the Testing and Certification division.

As part of its unwavering commitments to improving standards and thought-leadership, Chuck Lewis (IFC Group, Director) delivered an insightful ASFP webinar (September 2020) to launch the ASFP’s new Black Book on Active Fire Curtains. This successful event saw a record attendance of over 500.

Through our programme of independent training courses and as a delivery partner for the ASFP Foundation Course in Passive Fire Protection, IFC continues to provide high quality provision for sectoral competency improvements; delivering over 20 training days throughout the difficult 2020 summer season, as well as having a number of IFC Inspectors completing the ASFP course and achieving Technician grade membership of the IFE. Added to this is the recent extension of UKAS accreditation to nine new IFCC Installer certification schemes and the ever growing number of IFCC accredited companies.
