IFC Group has recently announced that it has joined forces with Kiwa Group; a global brand that employs over 4,300 people in more than 100 offices in over 40 countries across the world. The acquisition of IFC Group – which includes International Fire Consultants Ltd and IFC Certification Ltd – adds a new service line to Kiwa’s existing testing, inspection and certification (TIC) and consultancy services in the UK.
Kiwa is a world leader in TIC and it is through these core services, that Kiwa creates trust in customers’ products, services, processes, (management) systems and employees. Adding the IFC Group’s experience and expertise in fire safety significantly strengthens its offering in this critically important market and provides new opportunities and investment for IFC to continue to develop and expand its operations.
IFC Group Managing Director Graham Wiles says: “Joining forces with such a strong, trusted, and progressive international business with compatible values, means we can develop the IFC Group’s service offerings to support existing and new customers, and allows us to expand our combined international operations. It really is an exciting time for the business.”
As part of IFC’s continuing efforts to see a ‘safer built environment for everyone’, it has complimented its existing accreditations with recognised industry bodies and professional organisations, through successful accreditation to the Alcumus’ SafeContractor scheme. This, along with recent membership to the Structural Timber Association, will ensure that IFC continues to be fully aware of the sector’s best practice guidance and provides the most pertinent and up-to-date fire safety insights and advice.
