IFC Certification (IFCC) has had a busy few months meeting new clients, catching up with fellow ASFP members and networking at some of the UK’s biggest expos including FIREX and the FIT Show, as well as sponsoring the national Built Environment Networking programme and keeping pace with developments at New London Architecture.

IFCC is always delighted to meet new faces and enjoys taking the time to help unshroud common misconceptions of certification and explore the benefits with our future and present clients.

As the government moves to place increasing importance on third party certification of products and installers, IFC was very pleased to meet so many new companies at FIREX who were interested in obtaining certification; or in commissioning IFCC to conduct UKAS accredited site inspections.

IFCC was also present in support of four of our major fire-curtain clients who all showed their prowess with excellent stands at Firex. Compliance Director Chuck Lewis said “We had a fantastic exhibition and found ourselves heavily occupied with new prospective clients from a variety of industries and sectors.”

IFCC now operates seven major services: third party product certification of fire protection products; third party installer certification; UKAS-accredited site inspections; CE Marking (fire construction products) and AVCP (fire resisting doorsets); enhanced security certification; ISO 9001 quality management system certification; and third party fire risk assessment certification.

Through these schemes and services, IFCC hopes to continue driving forward the impetus on ensuring quality and safety in the construction industry.
