ASFP Welcomes New Team Members to Training and Membership

21 March 2025

The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) is thrilled to announce the addition of three new starters.

With diverse backgrounds and a shared passion for passive fire protection, Michelle Letts, Tazmin Jhutti, and Becky Francis-Drummond are set to bring a range of expertise to the ASFP.

Michelle Letts (Training Officer)

Joining the ASFP in December 2024 as one of our Training Officers, Michelle brings a wealth of experience from the manufacturing and construction sectors, spanning 14-16 years. Her journey into passive fire protection began in 2022, and it quickly became a passion.

"How to prevent fire from spreading was something I had never considered before," says Michelle. “I found it was something that interested me immensely. My curiosity then progressed to the hows and whys - the science and human behaviour behind it. Now, I pass on this information to help educate, whilst learning myself from the wonderful people who join our courses and I meet along this journey. If you see me around, come say hi, but I can’t promise not to talk your ears off!”

With her deep enthusiasm for sharing knowledge, Michelle is already making an impact by delivering engaging and insightful training sessions.

Tazmin Jhutti (Training Executive)

In February 2025, we welcomed Tazmin Jhutti to the ASFP as a Training Executive. Tazmin comes with 2.5 years of experience in fire safety training, where she delivered a variety of courses and built a strong foundation in passive fire protection.Like many in the industry, her entry into fire safety was unexpected, but she quickly discovered a deep passion for the field.

"Moving forward, my role with the ASFP will be less ‘hands-on’ and more ‘behind the scenes,’ but still very much in the world of training," says Tazmin. "I will be a point of contact for any training enquiries - before, during, and after training - so don’t be a stranger and get in contact with me for everything training-related!”

With her extensive knowledge and commitment to supporting learners, Tazmin is here to ensure a smooth training experience for all members.

Rebecca Francis-Drummond (Membership Executive)

Becky joins the ASFP as a Membership Executive, bringing a fresh perspective to the role. Becky’s background lies in television and media, but the pandemic led her back home to the Midlands, where she explored new career avenues. Now, she’s embracing the world of passive fire protection and is eager to engage with ASFP members.

"I’m looking forward to connecting with our members, having great conversations, and helping to strengthen the ASFP community," says Becky. "If you see me around, don’t be a stranger - let’s chat!”

With her enthusiasm and commitment to fostering strong relationships, Becky is set to enhance the ASFP membership experience.

If you encounter them at events, during training, or just around the office - be sure to say hello! We’re excited to see the positive impact they’ll make as they settle into their roles. Welcome to the ASFP team!
