ASFP members cover a broad spectrum of the Passive Fire Protection (PFP) industry including manufacturers, system and product installers, distributors, product testing and assessment authorities, fire engineers, fire risk assessors, certification bodies and other associated groups and organisations.

Register as an employee of a member company

All applications for Membership of the ASFP will be required to:

  • Complete the Association's Application Form
  • Agree to commit to the ASFP's training/qualification requirements
  • Agree to comply with the ASFP Byelaws and Code of Practice
  • Agree to follow ASFP technical guidelines as appropriate
 

PFP Contractor

Any contracting company employed in the design, application or installation of any type of PFP products and/or systems.

Any business involved in Testing, Certification and/or Inspection of PFP products, including professional service providers such as Architects and software system providers.

Why join the ASFP as an individual member?

We Inform

At the ASFP, we offer our members more than a standard PFP safety advisory service. As a member, you can benefit from continuous updates and insights into PFP legislation changes and industry events, networking opportunities, exclusive PFP safety resources, training and professional development and discounts. We Champion

Membership acknowledges your wish to start on the road to understanding PFP. We celebrate the skills and experience of our members, raising their profile and giving them a pathway through specialised training and networking to being acknowledged as PFP Champions.

We Promote

Your Membership helps us at the ASFP to promote the interests of the PFP Community and all levels including Government lobbying. We represent the needs of ASFP members and the wider PFP industry, by raising standards and competence through training, testing, certification and quality of installation and maintenance.

Membership fees are set and agreed annually by the ASFP Council and are based on a mixture fixed fee and a calculation based on the value of the annual turnover in passive fire protection depending on the required Membership type.
  • Contractor, Manufacturer, Distributor, Associate Membership Fees are based on PFP Turnover, ranging from £1,630 to £5,400  p.a. (plus initial £300 joining fee)
  • Individual Membership - £300 p.a.
  • International Company Membership - £950 p.a.
  • Ireland based Membership - £950 p.a.
  • Business Affiliate Membership - £1,630 p.a.
  • Tier 1 contractor Membership - £5,400 p.a.

All subscriptions are subject to VAT as applicable

We have relationships with specialist insurance brokers who can guide you to obtain adequate cover via a third party insurance provider.

Once your membership is approved you will receive an exclusive ASFP joining pack including a membership certificate, and the official logo to display on your website. 
3rd party certification is a requirement for ALL ASFP members that manufacturer, inspect &/or install passive fire protection products.
