PFP Manufacturer
All Members must agree to abide by the ASFP's Code of Conduct and Byelaws. Successful member applicants for this class of membership shall be required to:
Demonstrate an ability to manufacture PFP products and systems to the appropriate standard(s)
Provide evidence of appropriate levels of insurance
Provide one year’s financial accounts
Participate in the ASFP training programme for PFP at a level determined by the ASFP Council
Obtain third-party certification for manufacture. Certification should be accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditations Service (UKAS) or an equivalent body that is signatory to the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA)
Employ workers in strict compliance with current legal requirements regarding employment
Comply with the code of practice for the supply, design, and installation of PFP products or systems
Be certified to ISO 9001 or submit details of quality system, identifying the method of operation and management appropriate to their status as a manufacturer
Once all the above requirements have been met, an application can then progress to the final approval stage.
