Reintroducing Reece Goodman & our new TikTok channel

24 July 2025

The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Reece Goodman as its new PR & Membership Engagement Officer, strengthening the organisation’s commitment to supporting members and raising awareness of passive fire protection across the built environment.

In his new role, Reece will oversee ASFP's new TikTok platform - EverythingPFP, and deliver engaging communications that highlight the value of passive fire protection. He will also focus on enhancing member experiences - developing initiatives that strengthen engagement, facilitate collaboration, and ensure that the ASFP continues to deliver value to its diverse membership base.

Speaking on his appointment, Reece said:

“I’m thrilled to be returning to the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP). I first joined the ASFP in May 2021 as the Marketing Executive, and left as Marketing Manager. I stepped away almost exactly a year ago to challenge myself in new ways. During that time away, I discovered a real passion for visual storytelling - researching a topic, crafting a narrative, and sharing it through video to inform, educate and entertain.

My mission in this new chapter is to help bridge the skills gap in our industry. The ASFP has always excelled at strengthening and supporting the passive fire protection (PFP) sector, but in response to an industry-wide skills shortage, we want to attract new talent to the industry and foster a new generation of PFP professionals. As such, my work will complement the newly formed Young Leaders Group, which shares a similar vision for industry growth and outreach.

Additionally, I’ll be reigniting (pardon the pun) the Meet the Member series - travelling across the country to capture the stories, innovations, and expertise of our members. From interviews and practical demonstrations to experiments and beyond, we’ll be giving our members a platform to showcase their expertise and highlight just how fulfilling a career in PFP can be."
