0 Current training - Foundation Course Classroom Level 2

LEVEL TWO CLASSROOM TRAINING

This intermediate-level course lays the groundwork for understanding fire safety and fire science. It encompasses selections covering a wide range of passive fire protection systems, that reflect the associated IFE Level 2 Award Qualifications

Member rate: £1,100.00 (+VAT)

Individual Member Rate: £1,300.00 (+VAT)

Non-Member Rate: £1,600.00 (+VAT)

Course Structure

The classroom course, delivered by experienced PFP experts, spans five weeks with one full day of lectures per week, covering foundational fire safety and fire science across four  selections that mirror the associated IFE awards. Candidates will have to sit all four awards to gain the IFE Level 2 Certificate:

  • Award 1:  Fire protection for the structural frame, fire retardant coating
  • Award 2:  Fire-resisting walls, floors, ceilings, and fire-resistant glazing
  • Award 3: Fire stopping, penetration seals, cavity barriers, ductwork and dampers, and the building envelope
  • Award 4: Fire-resisting doors, industrial shutters, and hardware

Delegates can choose to sit an examination in chosen awards and work towards the IFE Level 2 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection by passing all 4 of the Level 2 Awards. For more information on the Level 2 Awards and the Level 2 Certificate please visit www.ife.org.uk

Delegates who intend to sit a specific Level 2 award examination can choose to attend only the days their chosen award will be taught. However, there will not be a price reduction for attending just this element of the course. Your trainer will discuss the order of the training on the opening day.

The Institution of Fire Engineers Exam

ASFP's Level 2 and 3 classroom courses are designed to help candidates prepare for the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) exams and achieve their qualifications. These courses provide comprehensive training in passive fire protection, covering the necessary syllabus and offering additional resources for study.

Candidates must book the IFE exam separately from the ASFP training course. It is recommended to schedule your course well in advance of the exam to ensure ample preparation time..

*Notes Regarding Prices

  • Subject to Quoted & Ordered delegate numbers.
  • Member rates shown are for full Member Companies, discounted rates for Individual Members may differ.
  • For courses taken in person, as opposed to online, we do not provide travel, hotel or subsistence costs, these would be in addition to the course cost.
  • Charges would not be applied if appearances are for:
    • Other (non-competitive) trade associations.
    • Groups / associations made up from individual associations e.g. the CPA (Construction Products Association).
    • Regulatory groups.
    • Her Majesty’s Government groups.
    • BSI (British Standards Institute).
    • ‘Part Service Provision’ means the client / company provides the learning venue, plus hotel accommodation if required.
    • IFE member discount is applied to ‘non-member’ prices for Level 2 and 3 foundation courses at a rate of -15%.
