ASFP LEVEL 3 TRAINING

The content of the Foundation Course in Passive Fire Protection Level 3 training embeds current best practice and draws on the technical expertise provided by the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP). It aims to equip candidates with the knowledge required to demonstrate competency, while also offering a route for progression and academic recognition in this key fire protection specialism.

This is the first course in the UK and Ireland to enable candidates to study to obtain a recognised qualification in Passive Fire Protection (PFP). Individuals who undertake it will have the opportunity to progress to the Level 3 qualification in Passive Fire Protection provided by the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE), a nationally and internationally recognised awarding organisation regulated by the qualification regulators Ofqual.

The qualification has been developed in partnership between the ASFP and the IFE specifically to provide recognition of individuals who have attained the essential knowledge and understanding to work efficiently and safely in passive fire protection roles. The scheme is suitable for all involved in the construction industry from designers and specifiers to contractors and specialist installers. It is also suitable for building owner occupiers and enforcement agencies.

Level 2 to Level 3 in Passive Fire Protection Transition Online Course

Those learners who have successfully passed the IFE Level 2 certificate in passive fire protection qualification, may wish to continue their learning by taking on the IFE Level
3 certificate in passive fire protection. To facilitate this and provide appropriate training a transitional E Learning course is available.

These courses seek to provide the learner with targeted learning to complete the ASFP Level 3 Foundation course in passive fire protection content. Learners will need to identify the
option that they completed at Level 2 and order the appropriate transition course. E.g. Those who have completed the ASFP Level 2 foundation course in passive fire protection
(Option A) will need to complete the Transition course Level 2 (Option A ) to Level 3 foundation course in passive fire protection.

This course, on average takes around 4-6 hours to complete depending on your current knowledge. As this course is online please complete it in your own time, stopping and
starting as you wish. The portal is active for 6 months so even after you finish you are welcome to log back in to stay updated and refresh your knowledge.
