LEVEL 2 ONLINE TRAINING

Our intermediate-level course provides a comprehensive foundation in fire safety and fire science, preparing the learner to sit the IFE Level 2 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection or their chosen IFE Level 2 Award in Passive Fire Protection.

The learner can choose to purchase the complete course, which includes Module 1, a selection from Module 2 and Module 3. Or select to study an individual Award to reflect the IFE examinations. The course is fully online and takes approximately 8 – 12 hours to complete, depending on the learners prior knowledge and the chosen course content. Additionally, you’ll have six months of portal access to review and refresh your knowledge even after completing the course.

* Delegates looking at completing single units must have participated in the ASFP Level 2 award 2-unit course or previously passed Level 2 or 3 passive fire IFE exams before single units can be attended.

 

Level Two Online Training

The Level 2 Online course is offered in four Awards which align with the IFE Level 2 Award syllabus. Learners can choose to complete an individual Award or more than one Award, but passing the exam for all 4 Awards is required in order to achieve the IFE Level 2 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection. Award 1

Building Structural Frame and Flame Retardant Coatings

This Award course provides candidates with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their understanding of Fire Protection to the structural frame of the building and flame retardant coatings. The content and structure of the course has been established to cover the basic knowledge and understanding required by those working in the passive fire protection industry.

Award 2

Walls, Floors, Ceilings and Glazing

This Award course provides candidates with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their understanding of Fire Protection to the walls, floors, ceilings and glazing. The content and structure of the course has been established to cover the basic knowledge and understanding required by those working in the passive fire protection industry.

Award 3

Fire Stopping, Barriers, Ductwork and Dampers

This Award course provides learners with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their understanding of fire stopping, barriers, ductwork and dampers. The content and structure of the course has been established to cover the basic knowledge and understanding required by those working in the passive fire protection industry.

Award 4

Doors and Shutters

This Award course provides learners with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their understanding of Fire Resistant doors and shutters. The content and structure of the course has been established to cover the basic knowledge and understanding required by those working in the passive fire protection industry.

 

The Institution of Fire Engineers Exam

ASFP's Level 2 and 3 courses are designed to help candidates prepare for the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) exams and achieve their qualifications. These courses provide comprehensive training in passive fire protection, covering the necessary syllabus and offering additional resources for study.

Candidates must book the IFE exam separately from the ASFP training course. It is recommended to schedule your course well in advance of the exam to ensure ample preparation time..
