The Association for Specialist Fire Protection’s (ASFP) offers innovative new online training courses. The 'Online Introduction to Passive Fire Protection' provides a basic overview of passive fire protection covering key elements of design, installation and inspection. It is intended to provide a first step for those considering a career in the passive fire protection industry.

This e-learning course offers a basic introduction to passive fire protection and its role in the overall fire strategy of a building.

Successful completion will provide learners with a sense of what good fire protection in buildings looks like. This will allow them to better understand the role of the various fire safety measures in the built environment, and in particular passive fire protection.

A General Introduction To Passive Fire Protection

The ASFP Online Introduction to Passive Fire Protection provides a general overview of passive fire protection covering key elements of design, installation and inspection. It is intended to provide a first step for those considering a career in the passive fire protection industry.

The course is delivered in 8 learning modules, that on average takes around 3 hours to complete, however this can be done in your own time, stopping and starting as you wish.

This e-learning course offers a basic introduction to passive fire protection and its role in the overall fire strategy of a building.

Successful completion will provide learners with a sense of what good fire protection in buildings looks like. This will allow them to better understand the role of the various fire safety measures in the built environment, and in particular passive fire protection.

ASFP Courses are available to all but you will need to be registered and logged in as a Member or Guest.

This ASFP Online Introduction to Passive Fire Protection for Installers provides a more 'hands-on' overview of passive fire protection covering key elements of design, installation and inspection, specifically designed for those new to the industry or returning to installation work. It is intended to provide a first step for those considering a career in the installation of passive fire protection systems.

The course is delivered in 8 learning modules, that on average takes around 3 hours to complete, however this can be done in your own time, stopping and starting as you wish.

This e-learning course offers a basic introduction to passive fire protection and its role in the overall fire strategy of a building.

Successful completion will provide learners with a sense of what good fire protection in buildings looks like. This will allow them to better understand the role of the various fire safety measures in the built environment, and in particular passive fire protection.

Notes Regarding Prices *

  • Subject to Quoted & Ordered delegate numbers.
  • Charges would not be applied if appearances are for:
    • Other (non-competitive) trade associations.
    • Groups / associations made up from individual associations e.g. the CPA (Construction Products Association).
    • Regulatory groups.
    • Her Majesty’s Government groups.
    • BSI (British Standards Institute).
    • ‘Part Service Provision’ means the client / company provides the learning venue, plus hotel accommodation if required.
    • IFE member discount is applied to ‘non-member’ prices for Level 2 and 3 foundation courses at a rate of -15%.
    • All prices are subject to VAT at the current rate, unless deemed not applicable bay way of instruction from HMRC.
